MONITORING COMMITTEE
The Following officials are hereby appointed as members of the Monitoring Committee of “Mananala Nallaatharavu Mandram” for the Under Graduate Students of the Government Medical College, Namakkal.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The Monitoring Committee shall Monitor, Review, Facilitate the activities of Empowerment Committee on a periodical basis.
- The Department of Psychiatry be the Nodal Department for Students “Mananala Nallaatharavu Mandram” and Offer Guidance with regard Mental Health Promotion and related services and training.
- The committee shall receive feedback from “MANAM” Faculty Ambassadors regarding the teaching-learning process, extra-curricular activities, student support services, mentoring, requirement of special attention and suggestions for improvement in academic training.
- The committee shall submit an appraisal report on the activities of MANAM to the Directorate of Medical Education, on yearly basis for further improvement and action.

- Periodicity of the Meeting: The Monitoring Committee meeting shall be conducted once in 3 months to Monitor, Review and facilitate the activities of Empowerment Committee.
EMPOWERMENT COMMITTEE
- The Following officials are hereby appointed as members of the Empowerment Committee of “Mananala Nallaatharavu Mandram” for the Under Graduate Students of the Government Medical College, Namakkal.
- Roles and Responsibilities:
- The empowerment committee shall act as a Democratic, inclusive platform to share
student’s experiences, concerns on an informal basis during the periodical coming
together of the Empowerment committee and empower the student community. - The committee shall strive for the collective involvement of “MaNaM” Faculty Facilitators& Peer Ambassadors to make the learning an enriching experience and de-escalation of stressful situations through discussion about student’s life stressors.
- To carry out awareness activities and conduct sensitization programs at regular
intervals. - Confidentiality, Trust, Empathy, Non-Judgmental Approach are the essential features of training and sensitization programs.
